The Gameological Society has posted a great new interview with Chris Jones and Aaron Conners. It covers Tex's history and the development of Tesla Effect. It's an interesting read with some nice new tidbits of info. Other than the trailer embeds, this one is spoiler-free for Tesla Effect. Check it out here!

Just a heads up for anyone in the Salt Lake City area, or who can be the first week of September, there will be a panel for Tesla Effect on Friday, September 6th. For more details on the Comic Con click here, and for a list of panels click here.
While I can't share the backers-only video, I think it's safe to say in the interest of promoting the panel, Chris Jones, Aaron Conners, Adrian Carr, Larry Thomas (Lt. Danwicz, The Soup Nazi) and Kevin Murphy ("Voice" in Tesla Effect) will all be in attendance. I can't attend, so I hope there's a recording afterwards, but it should be good! According to Jim, the Old Guy in a post at The Unofficial Tex Murphy Site's message board, Aaron Conners is currently working on the puzzles for Day 3 of Chance: I will say this and I quote from AC: "this afternoon/evening, I will be sitting in a noisy, smoky bar in downtown Salt Lake City, laying out the game design, story, puzzles Aaron Conners has replied to several questions regarding Whiteshark Entertainment's "A Black Sun Ascending" page. He says, "Chris Jones and I sent them a copy of my screenplay and told them we'd be willing to talk if they found legitimate means of funding a feature film." In regards to the differences in the stories of the game and the movie, Aaron said, "The new version of the screenplay -- which Chris, Adrian and I all agree is a great improvement -- has many similarities to "Pandora", but there are also some significant differences, including the finale. Changes such as Tanguska, Malikov, etc. were all my ideas -- I felt that the intrigue of the Roswell angle had diminished since "Pandora" and that I could tell a better story by incorporating a lesser-known (but equally fascinating) event in place of Roswell."
So while this means there is no Tex film currently in production, it does mean (as we've known for a while) that they are in the process of trying to get one made, though whether or not Whiteshark will be involved if it ever goes ahead, remains to be seen. Aaron Conners has sent out an e-mail to those who asked him about the message posted Thursday night at texmurphy.com. This is what he had to say:
Hello everyone: Since you all sent me the announcement below, I thought I'd respond en masse. This is an obvious and quite entertaining hoax. I thought the biggest tip-offs were the Photo Gallery of scantily clad "Tex Girls", and me being quoted as saying "...our old MASTERPIECES..." Chris and I would certainly love to do to release an "Ultimate Detective Box Set," but it's not being done. Thanks for all the interest, Aaron So it was another imposter. At first I thought it might be real, but the more I thought about everything that was being said in the message the more I realized it had to be a fake. Several good points were made at the texmurphy.com message board. On another note we still have something to be happy about when it comes to Tex. According to Adrian Carr a Tex movie is currently in the works and the scripts for the next three games have been written. Check out all the news at Adele's Adrian Carr page.
